Cheat meals

Hello again!

So, every Sunday is actually my cheat meal day. Why? Pretty much cause I usually spend my Sunday with friends around my church area. The food around us isn't exactly THAT healthy either. So I just make do with it. And besides, sometimes life gets in the way of your healthy living you know?

That's what makes eating healthy and exercising every day so difficult. Sometimes things like family dinners or going out with friends and late nights will happen and you can't always avoid them unless you don't have a social life and live alone. But what is important is that you get back on track and not give up!!

Here is my breakfast!

Ham and egg flat bread with mustard, lettuce and cucumbers. 4 hash browns and ice lemon tea!
I didn't even finish the drink cause I was too full. But yes, here is my half unhealthy breakfast. Hahaha. Every Sunday, I go for early morning service which starts at 7am. So breakfast is usually around 8.30am before most shops are open. Then we head back to church for choir practice around 9.30am. Yes, I am in the choir too! Hehe.

And on to lunch before our second choir practice!! (In preparation for Easter Vigil)

Ham spaghetti
Had this at Dino's. I just love spaghetti ^.^ Too bad I can't eat it that often.

And now here is the part that gets difficult. Usually after choir practice is over, my choir mates and I find somewhere to just chill until one of my friend's has to leave to book in for his National Service (NS) So we usually pick unhealthy places to hang out at. There really aren't that many healthy places here on this side of Singapore. Hahaha. Only full of good food.

Here was our snack!

Fries, chicken tenders and ice cream
We went to Swenson's. Shared this among 3 people! I didn't eat much of the ice cream but I ate a lot of fries :( My guilty pleasure. Sigh. But it was so good! And besides, we were talking about stressful stuff so yea... (Oh gosh, emotionally eating again. Which is bad!! But sometimes you can't help it really)

Sigh :(

Onto dinner then shall we?

Winter melon pork soup with long beans.
I didn't have all the long beans to myself! Shared with my parents. But Yes I did have some dinner even though after my snack, I felt that I shouldn't have. But oh well.

I went on to do my Week 1 Day 4 exercise!! I didn't do any workout yesterday cause day 3 is a rest day. And besides, I got home late. I still have a little bit of muscle ache from the Day 2 workout which was focused on arms!!

Well I know today's post isn't that long, but I will be off to sleep. Have work tomorrow.

Goodnight!!

Presents and a Buffet dinner!

Today I pretty much had the whole day to myself again except that I was going for a buffet dinner at night!! So I had to watch what I ate the whole day as well.

So in the morning, I woke up at 9am but rolled around and caught more zzs before I decided to get out of bed and have breakfast.

What better way than to start your day with a breakfast like this!

2 toasted waffles with peanut butter, a bowl of berry yogurt and green tea
I do LOVE peanut butter. This is of course not the healthiest of breakfasts so far, but it isn't the unhealthiest either. Sometimes, eating healthy doesn't always mean eating food you don't like. You just have to know when to limit it and how often to eat it. The only thing on my plate here that isn't healthy, is the waffles. Other than that it is still okay!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't have a morning snack cause by the time I had my breakfast, it was already mid morning. Around 10am plus. So I skipped my mid morning snack. I wouldn't suggest this as I would then become hungry for lunch, but as I knew I was definitely going to eat more for the buffet dinner, I had to cut down a bit on my meals during the day.
So around 12pm, my 2 friends from polytechnic came by to drop off some stuff! I wasn't surprised by this since my friend had already told me she was coming to pass me my stuff. But I guess I was surprised when I saw my other friend drop by as well since I haven't seen her.. for almost half a year or more!
They came by to drop off a dress I had ordered through my friend, as well as my 21st birthday present! It was really wonderful seeing them again, especially since they had made my day so much brighter! But they had to go off after 5-10mins as one of my friends had to go to work. :(
But here is the present they dropped off!
What's in the bag?? :P
21 presents all individually wrapped and labelled!! Time to get busy!
Me trying to do a nice picture with everything in it but failing... >.<
Isn't that really the sweetest??? <3 They had passed me a bag with 21 things individually wrapped. In the letter, they gave one or two words to describe what was inside the bag for each number. And I sure did have fun opening them up one by one! I felt really happy and appreciative of the effort they had put in to think of what to get me and come up with this idea!! It really made my day.
It's also quite funny to think how my colleagues actually did the same thing, except that there was extra newspapers inside the box they gave me, to make it harder for me to find my presents (which were also wrapped in newspaper) hahaha. They didn't give me 21 things but they gave me a box full of panda things!!! It was really sweet of them and again, I do appreciate the effort put in.
Ever since my birthday, I've been ever so grateful to have all my friends and family. It's funny. Cause when I was just a few years younger, I used to think that I was alone and no one really cared for me. But as I grew up, I can see how much the people around me care for me, and I guess it is really nice to have found a bunch of friends who make me really happy. I'm really happy with the way my friendships and relationships are going right now, and I just hope they can continue to get better!!
Okay I digressed a lot. Sorry for that! xP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So around 2pm I had a light lunch. It was pretty much last night's dinner fried into an omelette. Yea. I wouldn't have chosen to fry it, but sometimes, when you're still living with your family, you don't get to choose what you eat.

So here's lunch!
Last night's dinner fried with egg
Yeap that is it. I know you can't tell how big the portion is from the photo, but it was quite little as I had a buffet dinner to go for. So I didn't want to overeat although I was getting hungry!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had to get ready to go for dinner around 4.45pm!!!
Went to AquaMarine at Marina Mandarin Hotel Singapore!!! As it is a buffet, I tried my best to control how much I ate and what I ate. But of course... the buffet is about $70-$80/person! So I had to eat enough to make it worth it although I wasn't the one paying for it. hahaha
Here are my meals!!!!
Started off with some salad, smoked salmon, salmon with egg shreddings, edamame, corn, bacon bits and cold chicken salad. I also added some Italian dressing over the veggies!
Erm yes, I do eat salad at buffets. Is it really that weird? :( I thought it made sense to work my way down from appetizer to main course to dessert. I thought it was normal!!! D: Oh well.. But yes! I know some people consider it such a waste to be eating greens at a buffet. Buuuuuut. If you think about it, these greens cost a lot too. Vegetables aren't that cheap. If they were as cheap as Fast Food, OR cheaper than Fast Food, we'd be having a lot more healthy people walking in the streets!! (Just saying xP)
Next!!
Sashimi and Sushi!!!
I swear I would have taken more, but it still is short grain rice which is quite fattening :( Sigh. I really love sushi. If you know me well enough,you would know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Japanese cuisine A LOT. So this amount that I ate right here? IS SAD :( But all in the name of controlling how much I eat so I don't put on weight. When I walked past the chef slicing the sashimi and making the sushi, it's like I could hear them calling out to me to eat them..... (not really but still) :'( This rice is the only carbs I ate during dinner. No I don't avoid carbs. I still eat brown rice and wholemeal bread/wraps. And I still eat potatoes.
CARBS SHOULD NOT BE TOTALLY CUT OUT FROM YOUR DIET!
It is bad. And as an Asian, having had rice almost every day of my life, cutting it out of my life completely is bad. Well it isn't that bad but it is sad. And you probably would cave in the moment you have bread or rice on your lips again. Like oh sweet mother of bread/rice, HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU. *gobblegobble* Yea... But I'll save the carb talk for another post!
Next! The sort of main dish but not really.. just sort of.. Had to avoid the laksa and duck rice D: Nuuuuuuuuuuuu :'(
2 slices of smoked duck, 2 slices of squash, some carrot and asparagus and white clams!!!
Yes, again I have some sort of veggies on my plate. But it was nice!!
I did have a bowl of cream of corn soup with this plate, but I didn't get a picture of it. (I did, it's just that the picture looks bad. Lols) But yea! I just can't resist cream of corn soup. I enjoy the creamy texture and the taste of corn :P Yummy stuff. But I have had better corn soup elsewhereeeee ~ If I happen to go to that place again, I'll be sure to snap a picture of it and show you guys!
Okay so by this plate, I was already starting to get full. I really really wanted to move on to desserts, but my 2 colleagues still wanted to eat more! So I followed them. I didn't really want to eat anything else but I decided to get some hot soup as I didn't bring my jacket and I was getting cold.
My "miso" soup
This bowl of soup below isn't miso soup. I actually just took the soup from some Japanese vegetable stewm and added the tofu, seaweed and spring onions to it. Hence why it looks like miso soup, BUT IT ISN'T :( I thought they would have it though. But it wasn't that bad. It tasted similar!
So I was really getting full but my colleagues still didn't want to grab dessert. So I decided to have some other lighter food.
Almonds, edamame, dried apricots, brie cheese, some cranberry cheese and cold ham
The cranberry cheese thingy was SO SO GOOD. Okay, just to let you guys know, I don't really incorporate a lot of dairy in my diet. I don't drink milk and it's not like I eat cheese or yogurt every day or every week cause I'm slightly lactose intolerant.
So I decided to have some cheese since it was right there in front of my face. The last time I had some form of dairy after not having it for about a month, I had bad diarrhea. And, it was only a few days ago that it happened! So... I guess I had better not totally cut dairy out :/ Will just get my dairy intake from yogurt. Hahaha
AND FINALLY, DESSERT!!!!!! (Ugh I waited so long for this)
Chocolate fudge cake with vanilla sauce, almond jelly with canned pear, chocolate mousse, chocolate brownie with marshmallow, marble cheesecake, some mousse cake which I think is white chocolate and rasberry (sorry there wasn't any sign) and strawberry spongecake.
THE CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE. It was really nice and warm and so soft. Haha, but of course I was over the clouds with rainbows and dancing with pretty unicorns when I ate the chocolate mousse. Okay. Honestly the desserts were nice, but just okay. I guess I exaggerated it a little bit since I hardly eat these sweet foods anymore :( So whenever I do get to eat them, I get really excited and happy like a little kid waiting to open their Christmas presents. Yea..
I also had a bowl of yogurt ice cream, which I forgot to take a picture of. Really, I did forget. And that was all I had for dinner! Oh! and a cup of warm English Breakfast tea. Yeap.
So if I do take a look at what I ate, I would honestly say that the food I chose to eat, other than the dessert and corn soup, were still acceptable. However portion-wise, don't let the arrangement of food fool you. If you put them all together on the same plate, you'd know I overate.
So I guess when you do go for buffets, it really is quite hard to control the amount of food you eat, cause well, you would naturally want to eat a lot of food for the price you paid. That's fine, I guess you would just have to watch what you do eat. I could have chosen to eat laksa or had more sushi or had duck rice. I could have chosen to let loose and eat whatever I wanted. But I didn't. And that is something we all have to try to do at buffets. Eat just a little bit more than usual, but keep in mind what kind of food you are putting into your body. And of course, if you don't have a sweet tooth like me, go ahead and fill yourself up with other food. But don't go too overboard!!
Well It is pretty late now. So I'm off to sleep. Goodnight!!!
Baking day!
Today I had the whole day to myself! All my friends are either working or studying for exams, in army or overseas, and my boyfriend is  on shift until Monday. So.. I really had nothing else better to do. Hahaha!
Anyway here is breakfast!
Green tea, 2 oranges and 3 slices of apple
There weren't a lot of options for me to choose from today as my refrigerator was pretty empty. Plus I didn't want to have eggs again, so I just grabbed the apple slices (remainder from my parents' breakfast I suppose) and some oranges.
It was actually quite filling! Then I wanted to bake but I didn't have enough ingredients, so I went to play Sims 4.. again.. Haha I pretty much went to download custom content. Made me feel like I'm shopping but "shopping" for new clothes and hairstyles for my sims. Lol. Story of my life when I have no one to go out with. So just in case you also play sims and don't know what custom content is, it is basically downloadable content for sims! You can download new hairstyles, clothes, shoes, accessories etc etc.
It definitely makes your sims look so much better! And quite realistic.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well I'm sorry the first part of this post is actually quite boring. There wasn't anything new either. Haha.

Here is my mid morning snack!

1 banana and 10 almonds
So just a little bit more on why I have 5-6 small meals a day. Well, the logic behind it from what I have researched is that have 5-6 small meals a day, each about 2-3 hours apart, helps to keep your metabolism working.

I wouldn't know whether it speeds up my metabolism or not, but I do know that I don't feel as hungry and overeat anymore. In the past when I used to eat 3 meals a day, I'd snack so much in between cause I was either getting hungry, or I was emotionally snacking. I'm sure you get that too, the snacking on chocolates or biscuits when you're stressed etc. Hahahah if only stress burned calories too!!! But at least now I am in more control of how much I eat, and don't feel as hungry!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now here's lunch!
Last night's dinner
See? I told you my whole morning till afternoon was boring. I know I could have exercised but I prefer exercising at night.
So it brings me to the topic of exercising at different times of the day. Of course there are studies which say exercising first thing in the morning is more effective. However, I have been able to lose quite a bit of weight and I constantly exercise at night right before I shower and sleep. And besides, I'm not gonna wake up extra early to exercise. I'd most likely just roll over and continue sleeping!
Therefore, honestly in my opinion, I don't think it really matters which part of the day you exercise. I think some people just like exercising in the morning because they feel that it gives them more energy to start their day! Which is great!! I wish that were the case for me. So far I always just feel like sleeping after a workout cause I tired myself out a lot. Hence why I do it before I sleep, so that I can get a good night's rest! (Or else I will wake up multiple times in the middle of the night)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On to mid afternoon snack! (yes I finally could have a mid afternoon snack :P)

Plain wholemeal wrap and Skippy's peanut butter
Oh yes, I know Skippy's peanut butter isn't exactly the best option if you want to lose weight. But it is still peanut butter and it tastes good! I ran out of natural peanut butter that my family had bought from America the last time we were there, so Skippy's it was!

Of course as you can see, I spread a thin layer. It was good enough. If I was the old me or having a cheat meal, I swear I'd be applying a very VERY thick layer of peanut butter on it. It tasted so good :( I want moreeeeeeeee

Almost had a second one... or you know.. had a spoon of peanut butter. BUT I limited myself and stopped with the wrap. And I got myself busy so I won't think about snacking! So here is the fun part, I made Japanese mushi cakes!!!

The cakes in the making! (I honestly thought I'd fail xD)

First batch out of the steamer!! Oh so pretty~

Done with the second batch!! :D
So basically, these cakes are steamed. I was pretty lazy to use my oven for anything anyway. So I went online and searched for recipes for Japanese steam cakes. Why Japanese steam cakes? Cause I just had the BEST STEAM CAKE EVER!!!!! Like a few days ago! It's a strawberry flavoured steam cake which can be bought from a bakery called Sun Moulin. It is at Isetan Scotts. I SWEAR it is the best!! The texture of the cake is so so soft it feels like as if you're eating cotton candy!!! (of course the cake doesn't melt in your mouth but it was almost there)

This is what it looks like! (photo found on google)

It tastes like heaven~This is what it looks like!!
If you ever happen to go to town, it is a MUST TRY! It is a really light snack. Of course you also can't have this too often as it is after all, still a cake :( So you can have this when you're having your cheat meal or something! The steam cakes I made were no where near the one from Sun Moulin. But I know that there a a lot of different recipes online, so I will just try them until I get one that is close enough to the one from Sun Moulin!!

Why go through the trouble of making it when I can just buy it? Well.. Cause I'd rather just stay at home and make it instead of go out into Orchard which is packed with people I can hardly walk normally. No kidding.

Yea so enough of me blabbering about how good the steam cake from Sun Moulin is. Haha. (Just to let you know, there are other flavours like cheese, chocolate and I can't remember the last one but I think it is Earl Grey. Sorry that I'm not too sure, they don't exactly have a website >.<)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway here is dinner!!! :P
Stir fried fish cake, long beans and tofu, eaten with lettuce
Mum cooked dinner and it probably will be my lunch tomorrow too. I can't eat any meat on Fridays now until lent period is over. This is the sacrifice my mum wants our family to make for lent this year. I don't mind really. I do love fish cake!
The dish was lightly seasoned with salt and white pepper, soya sauce and sesame oil. The soya sauce and sesame oil mostly just give the tofu and long beans taste since the fish cake is already salty enough.
This is my mother's idea of cooking smart. And I agree. It is a very flexible dish which you can have with anything! You can have it with rice/brown rice, porridge, noodles, pasta (even though this is a more Asian dish) and you can even eat it with a wrap. You can also add carrots or corn or minced meat. It really is that flexible! Plus you get to eat your greens and get some protein from the tofu. So this is still quite healthy!! Just don't go overboard with the sauces or oils that you use to cook it, or it can go from a healthy dish to an unhealthy one pretty easily.
So yes! Healthy eating doesn't always mean salad and steamed chicken breast meat. Sometimes dishes like these are healthy too!
After dinner I did do my Week 1 Day 2 workout from the Four Weeks to Fit guide. It's still pretty easy since it is only week 1. But I could definitely feel that my arms were a bit weak when I was shampooing my hair! If you want to know what the guide is all about, you can read it in my 12 March 2015 post. The link is there too!
And here I am now! Will be sleeping soon.
Tomorrow I will be going for a buffet dinner! It is a department dinner. I haven't gone to eat any buffet since I started my healthy eating and exercising. So this will be interesting!! Hopefully I can discover tricks to prevent myself from overeating.
So until then, Goodnight!! :))
Day 1!
So this is where our journey starts!
I woke up at 9am and went to make breakfast. I used to wake up at 8.30am, but I have been sleeping late recently. Will try to get back to that!
So here's breakfast!
1 banana, 2 eggs scrambled with some pepper and salt, 10 almonds and green tea.
After that, I spent some time chatting with my mum and trying to figure out how to make a collage of photos from my 21st birthday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Then around 11.30am I had my mid morning snack!
1 slice of wholemeal wrap with hummus, thinly spread.
I had honestly never tried Hummus until quite recently. I never knew what it was and my brother said it wasn't nice so I didn't try it. It wasn't until about a month back, I was at the supermarket waiting for the butcher to cut some meat for me. It was there that I saw an advert for Hummus and what ingredients were inside! It all sounded fine to me since I like chickpeas, so I bought the tub you see in the picture, and never regretted it. I haven't tried any other brands yet, but I will once I finish this tub!

You can definitely heat up the wrap before spreading the Hummus, but I just eat it straight out from the fridge. Call me lazy but I don't really mind. Tastes fine to me!

For mid morning snacks, you can feel free to explore other options. If you don't like Hummus, you can have a wholemeal wrap with turkey ham or avocados, or natural peanut butter!

I will definitely share other mid morning snacks on the days to come!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So anyway, back to my day. I had to go back to work for a meeting (I work part-time) during and after lunch. I couldn't pack food from home because there wasn't any microwave where I was meeting my colleagues.
So at 1pm I had lunch at the staff lounge. And trust me, the only thing there that wasn't fried for the day was chicken rice. Oh such sinful food D:
I don't have a picture of it since it was the first time I was meeting a colleague from another department, and we had important things to discuss, so there isn't any picture for lunch! I'll just share that I ate 2 sliced cucumbers, about half a fistful of chicken cutlet cooked in soya sauce, and about a fistful of rice. (I just can't resist chicken rice, it tastes really good. Haha.) But I didn't finish the rest of the rice even though I know I have the capability to do so. xP
Skipped my mid afternoon snack since I was in another meeting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Back home! Had dinner around 6.40pm. My mother decided to have some Japanese style steamboat!!
Cabbage, shitake mushrooms, tofu, fishballs, white clams, leek, carrots and pork cooked in Dashi stock!

My first bowl of food. Had a second bowl of similar things. Hehehe
Steamboat... Where people tend to overeat. >.< But thankfully our steamboat only had veggies and some pork. So we could eat as much as we wanted to! I limited myself to 2 small bowls. Didn't want to overeat since I had chicken rice for lunch!

I don't have any tips for eating less when you're having steamboat. There is honestly no way other than to be conscious of how much you are eating! You can always pile on the veggies, but if your steamboat has a lot of other things like sausages, crab sticks, noodles etc, just remember to limit how much you can eat. Remember, you're not supposed to feel full until you can't move or until your stomach hurts! That would just mean you overate!!

After dinner I had 1/3 of a mango and continued creating this blog and typing out the first post!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once my stomach had settled, I went on to complete Week 1 Day 1 exercise routine from the workout guide, Four Weeks to Fit by Anna Victoria. Do click on the link if you want to read more about the workout guides and meal plans she has! I have done at least 2 weeks of her exercise guide, and 3 weeks of her meal plan before I stopped. (Had a lot of celebrations going on. Chinese New Year and my 21st birthday) Hahaha. So I decided to start anew! I stopped for 2 weeks in total.
Honestly, her workout plans are pretty simple. In fact I doubted them because they were so easy during week 1. After I did the workouts, I thought I wasn't doing it right or doing enough! But boy was I wrong. The next day I was aching. So do not doubt the workouts!!!
It was from following her guides that I was able to drop from 66kg to my current weight of 64.45kg. So honestly I'd say it is pretty effective. Especially since I did not follow her guides very strictly.
For example, I don't eat avocado. I mean I do, but there comes a point where I eat too much and then feel like puking because it is too rich. Then I feel sick the whole day. And I don't like plain Greek yogurt cause it is sour. And I don't believe in taking protein shakes etc. So I learnt to replace these things with other nutritious stuff! And also stuff that isn't too expensive cause I can't be eating quinoa every week or more than 10 eggs a week. I'd go broke!! But I do follow the idea of having 5-6 small meals a day. It definitely helped me stop overeating.
For her workouts, I didn't do them every day. Sometimes I had more than 1 rest day in between. You know those days, after you come home from a bad day at work, you just want to lie on the floor and do nothing but zone out and pet your dogs...... maybe it's just me but you get the point!
So even with all those slip ups, I still lost weight! It's really amazing so I can't wait to actually follow the whole thing through and see what results I get at the end!!! Both the meal plan and exercise plan are more affordable compared to other guides I have seen or bought (Will share on those another time). And I honestly feel that it is worth the money.
But different things work for different people. Some lose weight faster than others. But that's the beauty of trying out different things I guess. You try many different guides and plans until you find one that fits you and most importantly works for you, and you make it your own!!
We all come from different countries with different lifestyles and food culture. So I encourage you, if you're trying to get fit too, to try many things and find something that works for you!
So that's it for today!
It is currently 9.30pm.
I'm just gonna play Sims 4 till I sleep at 10.30pm
(yes, I play Sims 4 and yes, sleeping early is good for you! When you can sleep early that is)
Goodnight! :)
The First Post!!
Hi!
As this is the first post, it shall be dedicated to the purpose of this blog and a little bit about myself!
I was actually just sitting in my room one night and this idea suddenly hit me.
To create a blog where I can post my daily meals and exercises! Something like an accountability page. I have been struggling with weight loss for the longest time. You know. The typical "New Year, New Me" or "I have decided to change my life" kinda thing that eventually just doesn't give you enough motivation anymore.
I don't have any health issues at the moment. But my size has always affected my confidence in so many ways. I've been called fat since I was 6 years old, I've had guys ditching me for girls who are skinny etc etc. It had affected me so much until one day, I didn't even want to leave my house. I hated going out and I got so nervous being in public where people could see me. (I still went out cause I had to go to school, but I was constantly nervous and stressing out about my looks)
Of course, thankfully my current boyfriend has been really supportive and has helped me overcome that. And I really don't think I could have done it without him. I have become a more confident and outgoing person. Of course I still do have my insecurities which get the better of me at times, but at least I am no longer locked up at home, afraid of other people.
So far, the heaviest I have been is 69.9kg. There. I'm talking about my weight now. My weight for the whole world to see. Hahaha. This was when I was in polytechnic. I had gained 5kg since I left Secondary school. (do the math yourself :P) Until I looked at pictures of me taken by other people, I really had no idea how much weight I had gained. I never weighed myself daily and I am an emotional eater so.. yea. I remember looking at photos and thinking "How did this even happen?!??"
Since then, I had been trying all sorts of things to lose weight. Dieting, exercising, signing up for gym classes etc. Thankfully the weight did come off even though I was always on and off about healthy living. But then it became a stagnant 66.8kg.
Currently, my weight fluctuates within 64kg. What do I mean? I mean one day it is 64.1kg, the next it is 64.6kg but it never goes back up to 65kg or down to 63kg. So here I am, on the plateau of my weight loss journey.
I will be posting my meals and what exercise routines I follow. Of course, if I am following any training guides bought online, I will not expose the workouts done as I don't think it is right to share that information for free, especially when the trainer has worked really hard to put it together. However I will share my thoughts on the workouts and give other reviews.
In due time, who knows what else I will post about! I may post a few reviews here and there of products I have used. And other random things!
So let's begin, and thank you for reading my super long post!! :)
